PAWS FOR CHANGE is a program that teaches at-risk youth to care for and train shelter dogs. The program gives participants a sense of purpose and provides positive reinforcement for changing the direction and outcome of their choices.

In addition to the benefits through other DoggoneExpress programs, participants gain skills that translate to a lifetime understanding of how to maintain and care for pets. By following the program’s instructions, they gain confidence in verbal and written communication.

Program Highlights

• Training facilities at shelters or at a designated local site 

• Bi-weekly instruction is 2-3 hours throughout metro New Orleans and surrounding Parishes
